A Frontline Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress Party in Ogun East Senatorial District, Senbanjo Olumide 'Segun yesterday empowered Eighty (80)  members of party faithfuls in Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North East Local Governments. 

At an epoch event held at Party Secretariat of the capital of the Federal Constituency in Ijebu Ode, different equipments such as Hair Driers, Popcorn Machines, Generators, Clippers, Cookers & Gas Cylinders among others were distributed. 

In his address, SOS noted that the reason for the empowerment is to ensure those at the grassroot benefitted from the dividends of democracy no matter how little. He furthered that those selected made the list after thorough scrutiny especially on their individual needs.

"What we gave you is as a result of what we were made to understand you need to boost your business, this is just a tip of the iceberg, I'm determined to ensure we all share from the dividends of democracy no matter how little, it's better to be little and go round than to be big but shared among few; I sincerely appeal to us all to continue to mobilize and support our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR who has been delighting us all in Ogun East Senatorial District for him to continue beyond 2023", he stated.

While speaking with news men, Messrs Mudasiru Adewale, Mutiu Bashiru, Alausa Temmy who were some of the beneficiaries of the empowerment items said they were selected from their respective wards perhaps as a result of their dedication to party affairs or their loyalty to the party. They express their heartfelt gratitude to the donour while praying for more blessings. They alluded that when they were informed about the empowerment, they felt indifferent because most times many politicians have failed in their promises but for SOS, who is not a Political Appointee of the Government to have done this shows he is a man of integrity and worth being a Leader.
