The Chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Odulate has presented the Sum of N3.578bn for the year 2022 budget.
Odulate, while presenting the budget tagged: "Budget of Accelerated Development" at the conference room of the council, said the bill was drafted with the aim of achieving the State government's ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda, adding that it would also cushion the economic instability experienced by the people of the Local Government, especially in the area of infrastructural development.
He explained that the proposed budget would aid the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), saying that with the support of the legislative council and career officers, the LGA would be able to carry out enormous and development-oriented task that would have direct effect on the people.
In his response, the Leader of the House, Hon. Ojuroye Ayodele explained that the bill has captured the major needs of the grassroots dwellers, adding that the projects and programmes highlighted were in line with the ‘ISEYA’ mantra of Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration.
He assured the Chairman that the bill would be given a speedy passage into law for the people to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
