PRIVATE ORGANISATION DONATES TRAFFIC SHELTER STANDS TO TRACE

A private organisation, Mikano International Limited has donated Traffic Shelter Stands to Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), to enhance the operation of Officers in traffic control and management.

Taking delivery of the Traffic Stands, the Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo, extolled the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Mikano International, as well as the company's contributions in terms of job creation across the State, calling on more organisations to emulate its actions towards supporting the development of the State.

He commended the company for its continued support in improving traffic management and safety within the State, saying the remarkable gesture was a reflection of how the State places high esteem on collaboration with industries.

In his remarks, the Corps Commander, TRACE, Commander Olaseni Ogunyemi stated that he was particularly impressed with the organisation to provide traffic shelter stands to the Corps, noting that the TRACE Corps had only received 31 traffic shelter stands, indicating the first batch of the stands.

"We are aware of Mikano’s support which has been enjoyed by some privileged States in the country. Therefore, bringing this magnanimous gesture to Ogun State simply signifies that Ogun State is identified as being worthy of trust and quality delivery” Ogunyemi stated.

In his submission, the Special Assistant to the Chairman of Mikano on Traffic Shelter Stand, Mr. Yemi Salako said the Organisation was encouraged to collaborate with the State due to the glowing performance of the TRACE Corps in traffic control and management, adding that the remainder of the shelter traffic stands would be provided in due course
