The Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in Ogun State has provided over 300,000 pieces of furniture to public schools across the State in less than three years.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile made this known today while featuring on a radio personality programme in Abeokuta, on the performance and implementation of the present government's policies as regards its ‘ISEYA’ mantra.
Odusile who revealed that several blocks of classrooms in government schools had been constructed and renovated with yellow roofs, noted that teachers were deployed to schools across the State, especially in rural areas, through the Ogun Teach scheme, calling on the private sector to join hands with the government to achieve more.
Speaking on the state of road construction, the Commissioner said inherited abandoned projects from the last administration were receiving prompt attention, assuring that the roads would be completed as promised by the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
"The present government is determined to complete all abandoned projects that have a positive impact on the people, irrespective of its location in as much as the taxpayers’ money has been expended on it", he stated.
Odusile pointed out that over 1000 housing units built by Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration had been fully subscribed, saying the government is set to construct additional 250 units.
