OGUN TRACE BOSS HIGHLIGHTS ROLES OF RELIGIOUS BODIES

The Corps Commander and Chief Executive Officer of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Commander Olaseni Ogunyemi has said that the roles of religious organisations in promoting peaceful co-existence that will prevent loss of lives and property in the society cannot be overemphasised.

Commander Ogunyemi made this known in Abeokuta, while playing host to a delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at of Nigeria, Abeokuta Circuit, saying it is the collective responsibility of every citizen and organisation to ensure that peace and harmony are maintained for the overall well-being of the people.

He noted that TRACE, as an agency of government is saddled with the responsibility of protecting and enhancing the safety of all road users through organised public education, enlightenment programmes, as well as compliance and enforcement, assuring that it would not relent on its effort at achieving better traffic management.

"As an agency of government, we will continue to play our part towards ensuring saving lives and property on our roads. Your organisation should intensify efforts in preaching love and peace, to further enhance the mutual relationship among the people " Ogunyemi said.

He appreciated the organisation for its religious and humanitarian services and urged them to join hands with the government in its developmental drive.

In his remark, President of the Jama’at, Dr. Nosirudeen Bello lauded TRACE for its relentless commitment and dedication to preventing road crashes and accidents.
