Ogun State Government has admonished Civil Servants to continue to give their best, towards actualising a more prosperous and economically viable State.
The Commissioner for Forestry, Engr. Tunji Akinosi said this in Abeokuta during a joint send forth programme organised for former staffers of the Ministry of Forestry who had served the State meritoriously and retired between the year 2010 and 2021, noting that their effort at repositioning the Ministry was commendable.
Akinosi, represented by the Director, Regulations, and Utilities (R&U), Mr. Victor Olawoore commended the retirees for their impact in building the Ministry, particularly placing it in the forefront of revenue generation, applauding them for their dedication to duties while in active service.
In his remarks, the Director, Survey Planning Inventory and Demarcation (SDI&E), Mr. Sonubi Adewale lauded the retirees for their passion and dedication towards realising a safer forest reserve in the State, disclosing that their dedication in the past was hugely responsible for the giant stride recorded in the Ministry.
Speaking on behalf of the retirees, a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Oluseyi Banjoko appreciated the Ministry for not forgetting their contribution towards the development of the State, commending the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for making the State’s Forest Reserves a safer place.
