Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has said that the present administration will not condone any act of indiscipline from those trying to sabotage its efforts in the course of building the State.
Salako-Oyedele handed down the warning while playing host to executive members of Mercyland Community Development Committee (CDC), who were on a courtesy visit to her office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Deputy Governor who reacted to a piece of information reaching the government that some unscrupulous elements were extorting people of Aseese-Maba Area, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of the State under the guise of collecting revenue for the government said the present administration would not hesitate to act by nipping it in the bud.
"Whenever we have the unscrupulous element, we will not hesitate to act by nipping it in the bud because revenue collection should not be at the detriment of our people", she said.
Engr. Salako-Oyedele assured the CDC of the government’s continued support, commending it for complementing the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in its ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman, Mercyland Community Development Committee, Aseese-Maba Area, Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Mr. Adebiyi Adegoroye, said the 40 CDAs under the CDC were genuinely committed to the development of its communities and State at large.
