The Chairman, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Alhaji Babatunde Emilola Gazal has presented N3.8bn budget for the 2022 fiscal year, tagged "Budget of Rebuilding" which would be driven by Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and Federal allocation.

Presenting the budget at the council in Ijebu-Ode, Babatunde said his administration would improve on the IGR of 69 percent recorded in the year 2021, and boost the socio-economic development of the Local Government Area, as well as improve the living standard of the people.

"The proposed budget will take care of recurrent and capital expenditure for the year, which will be financed with IGR and allocation from the Federation Accounts". Babatunde said.

The Council Boss said the LG is expected to raise its IGR to the sum of N95.5m which would be internally sourced, saying a new pragmatic approach would be adopted to generate more funds internally to meet the demands of the people.

He called for the cooperation of both the executives and the LG staff, appreciating the support and encouragement of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Adetona, Council of Baales, Market men and women, Religious Leaders, and the entire workforce of the Local Government.
