The Councilors in Obafemi Owode Local Government area of Ogun state on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Asiwaju of Orile Imo, High Chief Olakunle Olalekan at his residence in Logbara.
The leader of the house of legislative who led other councilors on the visit, hon. Akinsola kayode said the visit was to honor the community leader.
He submitted that since they have been elected as councilors, they have not visited the community leader.
The leader of the house described Chief Olakunle as a reputable leader, saying that he has done well in the community.
He said " We are here to see one of our leaders, a community leader who was once a political office holder, since 7 months we have been in the office we have visited a lot of people and we have not visited him that is why we are here today.
"Asiwaju is a political leader per excellence, we are here to familiarize ourselves with him. He is reputable leader, we are happy to see him today and we pray that God almighty will continue to guide him as our leader'' He concluded
He therefore called on the people of the community to ensure they get their PVC so that they will not be disenfranchised in 2023.
The councilor representing Ajura, Hon. Makinde Ayobami Ayodele assured the people of the community of dividends of democracy.
Meanwhile, the Asiwaju of Orile-Imo, High Chief Olakunle Olalekan appreciated their visit, saying that he was happy to see them.
He urged them not forget the people that they are representing at the grassroots.
