WE'LL CONTINUE TO COLLABORATE WITH PROFESSIONALS TO MOVE OGUN FORWARD- HoS

 


In a bid to take Ogun State to an enviable height, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has said the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration is interested in what experts of different professional bodies could offer the State, in order to achieve its ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda.  


 Dr. Aigoro made this known today in Abeokuta, while receiving a delegation from the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, who came on a courtesy visit, as part of activities to commemorate the 2022 World Engineering Day, saying the government would continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders towards repositioning the Civil Service for efficiency.


According to him, the crop of professionals that make up the society was capable of moving the State Civil Service forward, especially in the area of training and re-training of Engineers in the Civil/Public Service.


"As professionals, I rely on your support and collaboration to further move the Civil Service forward. We will continue to work together to reposition the service for the betterment of all. I will look into the requests tabled before me.", the HoS said.


Earlier in his speech, the Chairman, NSE, Abeokuta Branch, Engr. (Dr.) Kolawole Olonade said the Society would not relent in supporting the government on areas where its professional assistance was needed, most importantly in the impartation of knowledge to upcoming Engineers, adding that all is set to host the World Engineering Day scheduled for Friday, March 4, 2022.


In attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye, his counterparts in the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Engr. Olayiwola Abiodun, Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Lateef Yusuf and Environment, Engr. Rasaki Ojetola, as well as Directors in the Bureau of Service Matters.
