Civil Servants in Ogun State have been challenged to provide necessary impetus to the good governance of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration towards upholding the collective responsibility of governance for the betterment of the people.
The state commissioner for Rural Development Engr Taiwo Oludotun stated this in Abeokuta while playing host to the members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants and Members Community Development Association of Ayerose and Koriko in Obafemi Owode Local government Area of the state who were on a thank you visit to the commissioner for the culvert project that was given to the community.
The commissioner noted that coming out to appreciate the kind gesture is a good development but it would be appreciated if they can blow the trumpet louder to people who are not civil servants to know that for the fact that the government is not shouting about his achievement does not mean it's lazy, that the present administration is a silent achiever.
Oludotun who appreciated the union for complementing the efforts of the government in providing affordable houses for civil servants, notd that the gesture is a kind of destiny fulfilment for the beneficiaries.
Speaking earlier, the chairman, Association of Senior Civil Servants, Comrade Isa Olude appreciated the the commissioner of the ministry, most especially the state government for it's quick response saying it is an indication that price Dapo Abiodun led administration has good intentions for the citizens of the state.
Olude said the 8km road which was graded along side the culvert will serve about 22 communities and the commercial activities of the area will be enhanced.
The ASCSN boss in Ogun appealed for good road network in the area as well as potable water which would help speed up the construction on more buildings for Civil Serevant at the Estate in other to complement government's effort to ensure affordable housing for the people.
Speaking on behalf of the Community Development Associations CDA Comrade Olalekan Adebayo Mr Kunle Obayeju appreciated the state government for the kind gesture saying the culvert would serve about 22 communities and 52 villages and this would aid movement transportation of farm produce soliciting for more Developmental projects along the axis such as electricity.
