After twenty seven years without a King, the town of Ijebu-Igbo welcomes her new King, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo in person of HRM Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo on Saturday.
Various monarchs, chiefs, and notable individuals together with a large crowd gathered in mass to receive the new King with shouts of glee and chants of "Kabiyesi", to pay homeage to the new king.
The governor in a circular disclosed that the Orimolusi will be handed the staff of Office on the 23rd of February, 2022 to perform fully in the office of the Orimolusi.
The arrival of the new King into the town for the first time since his appointment and ordainment as the Orimolusi, with his convoy, birthed serious gridlock due to the large number of well-wishers following to celebrate the King and his convoy from Oru down to the palace at Oke-Tako and also his residence at Oke-Agbo in Ijebu Igbo
