In line with the ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda of the present administration in Ogun State, a member of the State Assembly representing, Ijebu North East State Constituency, Hon. Johnson Fasuwa has given out 147 White Boards and other educational materials to public primary and secondary schools in the area.
Speaking at the symbolic presentation of the items to the Local Government Education Authority, Imuroko, Ijebu North East, the Chairman, Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Femi Majekodunmi said the provision of the whiteboards would ease the stress of the teachers towards educational development and effective teaching purposes.
Dr. Majekodunmi urged the headteachers to make judicious use of the materials and safeguard them from being vandalised.
Responding, Hon. Fasuwa Abayomi said the donation was to make teaching and learning easier for the learners in schools within the Local Government Area, imploring the pupils to work harder in order to excel in their academic performance.
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting schools, Headteacher of Baptist Primary School, Ogbogbo, Mr. Talabi Oluwole said the educational materials would aid learning and prevent hazards posed by blackboard.
The benefiting schools include, Army Children School, Ilese, Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Isonyin, Imowo United Primary School, Imowo, Ilese Comprehensive High School, Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School, among others
