Teachers in the Ogun State public primary schools have been advised to simplify their teaching techniques by making use of simple illustration and diagrams for easy assimilation.
The Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Dr. Femi Majekodunmi made the call during a monitoring exercise to some primary schools in Abeokuta and Obafemi Owode, as schools resumes for 2021/2022 academic session.
Dr. Majekodunmi emphasised the need to also avail themselves of the Information and Communication Technology, as a way of adopting new teaching method for improved academic performance.
He noted that all hands should be on deck to ensure that quality and affordable education programme of the present administration achieve desired result, expressing satisfaction at the teachers' commitment and attendance to duty in all the schools visited.
“The teachers are doing their work, I can see that they are punctual, hardworking and dedicated. We did not see any of them loitering around and I am impressed with all the schools we have visited”, Majekodunmi said.
He enjoined parents and guardians to take advantage of the free basic education policy of the State government, adding that they should allow their wards to be punctual in schools and monitor their assignments.
Responding, the Headmistress, St James African School, Idi - Aba, Abeokuta, Mrs. Victoria Ilori said teachers are ready to complement government's effort towards achieving the desired goals of the present administration in the education sector.
Other schools visited are Nawair-ud-deen Primary School, Ago-ika, Abeokuta, Obafemi Owode Local Government Nursery and Primary School, Apena Magbon, Abeokuta.
