Ogun State Government says land has been made available, while a friendly tax concession policy is in place to attract more investors to the State.
The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun made this known while fielding questions from newsmen after inspecting facilities at Proforce Ltd in Ode-Remo, an indigenous firm which specialises in the manufacturing of security equipment.
Governor Abiodun stated that other measures put in place include, good road network, conducive business environment and abundant human resources.
" My advice to other investors is that they should come to Ogun State to enjoy the hospitality, good infrastructure, availability of land, abundant human resources, friendly tax concession and all that we have done to ease business. If you are not in this State, you are not in Nigeria.
Abiodun said the visit was to have firsthand experience of the firm's operations and see areas which his administration could collaborate to give the needed support.
"We are here to see where Proforce can partner with us, how we can support and encourage them. We are very proud that this is happening right here in Ogun State. We have seen many companies from different parts of the world, definitely this facility cannot be compared to any other.
"I am impressed with what the Chief Executive and his team are doing here. This is a first-class manufacturing company concerned with the solution to the insecurity we are witnessing in recent times across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Everything that is happening here is basically to support the law enforcement architecture of the State", he said.
Abiodun pointed out that his government would go into discussion with the company to provide the joint task force in the State, ‘OP-MESA’ with the needed equipment and logistics to make it carry out its assigned duties effectively.
"Today, Ogun State is one of the safest States in the country and we intend to sustain it. We must understand that there is a nexus between security and illiteracy, unemployment and drug abuse. However, we will ensure that our law enforcement agencies are properly equipped and battle ready to tackle insecurity", the Governor assured.
Prince Abiodun who reiterated his administration’s commitment to wipe out cultism, criminality, among other forms of violence, said unwholesome conducts would not be tolerated in the State.
