MAMMOTH CROWD AS BUHARI VISITS OGUN

 


The joy of the people of Ogun state knew no bound as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari visited the State to commission landmark projects executed by the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration.


While commissioning the Gateway Monument Park, Sagamu, Interchange, President Buhari expressed satisfaction over the  quality and standard of projects executed by present administration in the state, saying it was a promise made, promise kept.


He described Governor Abiodun as a great and silent achiever who should not rest on his oars, urging the people of the state to continue to support him in his "building our future together" agenda.


The President assured that the Sagamu - Ogijo and Interchange - Papalanto road would receive Federal government's intervention in earnest.


"Ogun State has the largest concentration of federal roads, the two roads we are commissioning today are federal roads, I want to assure you that the Sagamu - Ogijo road and Papalanto road would receive federal government's attention very soon", he assured.


President Buhari said the level of infrastructural development in Ogun State was highly commendable, saying that it was a hint  something new was happening in the state.


Earlier in his welcome address, the Governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun explained that  Ogun was ranked number one investment destination of choice not only in Nigeria but in the West African Sub region, promising not to relent in its efforts at ensuring the state maintains its position.


"Ogun State is ranked number one investment destination of choice not only in Nigeria but in the entire West African Sub region, we will continue to make Ogun state a place to live, work and stay", Abiodun promised.


He explained that the Gateway Monument Park Sagamu Interchange  was a monument that signifies unity amongst Remo, Ijebu, Yewa and Egba in which the State is.made up of, to address the daily challenges being faced by commuters in the axis.


Prince Abiodun appreciated the President for his support at combatting covid 19 in the State, soliciting for the federal government's attention to other federal roads that are in deplorable condition.
