The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Iperu Area, Evangelist Ola VINCENT, has commended the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo ABIODUN for his efforts at providing good governance to the people of the state.
The Chairman gave this commendation in his message at the end of the week-long Annual Universal Week of Prayer organised by the Iperu Area CAN, and hosted by the Governor.
Evang. VINCENT commended the giant strides of the Governor in road, health, and education infrastructures; the ongoing construction of the Gateway Agro Cargo Airport; security of lives and properties, among others.
Quoting from the book of Acts of the Apostles, Chapters 9 and 10, and using Dorcas and Cornelius as examples, the cleric urged the Governor to continue to administer the state with the fear of God, better the lot of the masses, and do all within his best to satisfy his conscience, not minding praises from anyone.
Responding, the Governor, represented by the Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, thanked the Christian body for their support to his administration so far, while calling for a more collaboration between his government and the religious organisation, as he continue to deliver on more people-oriented programmes and projects to the admiration of the good people of Ogun State.
He appreciated the hosting right extended to him, and pledged to sustain the mutual and cordial working relationship existing between him and the association.
Also speaking at the session, the Vicar and Archdeacon, St. James' Anglican Church, Iperu Remo, Ven Shadrach AJILEYE, also called for a concerted support from the people towards the governor, in order to sustain the current tempo of development in the state.

Tajudeen SALAKO; the Aro of Iperu, Chief Jide SOSAN; Iyalode of Iperu, Chief (Mrs.) Aderonke SHODIYA, amongst other, religious, political and community leaders.
