BE COURAGEOUS, NO MOUNTAIN TOO HIGH TO CLIMB- OGUN SSG CHARGES WORKERS

Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi has charged Civil and Public Servants in the State to be strong, courageous and go into the new year with the confidence that nothing shall be impossible for them.

The State's scribe who gave the charge in Abeokuta at the annual interdenominational thanksgiving service organised by the Ministry of Information and Strategy said, "it is a new beginning with no dark cloud hanging because the siege is over", adding that God has made all things available for the people to enjoy.

Quoting the scriptures, Joshua chapter one verses five and six, "There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage", Talabi admonished the workers to believe in God, in order to achieve whatsoever their hearts could conceive.

He encouraged members of staff of the Ministry to dare to break new grounds, be steadfast and uphold diligence, saying greatness and success would become inevitable for them.

In his address, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile enjoined staffers of the Ministry to work together as a family to achieve more, advising officers to desist from any act that could bring others down.

Odusile who emphasised on the importance of training and retraining to the overall productivity of government, assured that the Ministry would intensify effort to build capacity of officers in the areas of Information and Communication Technology, as well as Public Speaking.

"As we move closer to the 2023 political era, be more careful, watchful and mindful of what you say so as not to be wrongly quoted or heat up the polity. Be reminded that as information managers, you are representatives of the government at every point in time”, he stated.

Earlier in his address, the Director of Information, Strategy, Mr. Lanre Ogunyinka called on the staffers to take their health more seriously, adding that official responsibilities should be well attended to.

In their separate messages, Mr. Odunayo Ogunleye and Mrs. Taiwo Oduntan who admonished the staff in Christian and Muslim ways respectively, enjoined them to live in peace with one another and be steadfast in all the commandments that God has laid down in the holy books, praying for more wisdom to carry out their duties efficiently.
