The Ogun State Government has rolled out activities marking the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in the State.
This was contained in a release signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile in Abeokuta.
According to the release, the celebration would commence on Friday, January 7, 2022 with a Jumat Service at the Central Mosque, Kobiti, Abeoukta at 12 noon followed by an Interdenominational Church Service on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Cathedral Church of St. Peters Ake, Abeokuta at 10:00am.
It stated that the Grand Finale is scheduled for Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta at 10:00am with a special parade by the Armed Forces and Police, as well as laying of wreaths in honour of the falling heroes.
The release enjoined all invited guests, top government functionaries and other stakeholders to be seated thirty minutes before the commencement of the outlined events with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
