The University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Ogun State branch has inducted the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro into its prestigious Council of Elders, as a result of his laudable contributions to the development of the Association.
The Chairman of the Association, Mr. James Adenmosun, who led the group to decorate Dr. Aigoro in his office at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, explained that the Council of Elders comprised of matured and experienced members including the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Gbadebo and other retired Heads of Service that offer advice and support needed to move the group forward.
Mr. Adenmosun who revealed that the Association came to rejoice with him, said Dr. Aigoro was the seventh in line of members that have consecutively occupied the exalted position of the Head of Service of Ogun State in the last nine years, soliciting for support in securing land for their permanent secretariat among other requests.
In his acceptance speech, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro described the University of Ibadan as the best in Nigeria and appreciated the group for the honour bestowed on him , calling on them to continue to lift the banner of the institution.
