PUBLIC SERVICE DELIVERY: OGSG RESTATES COMMITMENT TO MAINTAIN MERIT, EQUITY

 


          The Chairman, Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi has reaffirmed his commitment to ensure merit, equity, justice and fairness in the activities of the agency.


          Engr. Odebunmi who said this in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, at a briefing session with Assessors, on the upcoming upgrading extended interview for the year 2018, 2019 and 2020 noted that the Commission would continue to build dedicated, loyal and hard-working officers.   


          The Board Chairman while appreciating the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for approving three years promotion exercise, stated that the Commission’s Board had introduced Public Service Competitive Entrance Examination, secured site for the construction of public service college and so on.


The State is blessed with a worker-friendly Governor who is committed to motivate, improve workers’ welfare and reward outstanding performance, to serve as stimulus for improved public service delivery", Odebunmi noted.


          Earlier speaking, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro commended the effort of the Board, charging the assessors to be diligent, fair and unbiased in the discharge of their duties.


          Also speaking, a Former Head of Service, Mrs. Iyabo Odulate affirmed that Ogun is always in the forefront among its peers in the country, admonishing the assessors to maintain integrity.


          Contributing, the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Kolawole Ogunlana said the extended interview would enable the Commission to determine candidates’ suitability for appointment.
