The Special Adviser to the Governor on Government Delivery and Unit Head, Government Delivery Unit (GDU), Mr. Lekan Onamusi, has described road projects embarked upon by the present administration as legacies that will remain a masterpiece for many years to come.
Onamusi who led the GDU inspection team to Ijebu-Ode, Mojoda, Abeokuta-Sagamu and Panseke-Adigbe areas of the State, said the standard of projects were impressive, with some of them having the latest technology in civil engineering.
He explained that the Ijebu-Ode, Epe, Sagamu, Benin Interchange roads were designed to serve as a major road network that would ease traffic flow and reduce risks.
"There is no doubt that these roads are standard. Craneburg Construction has given us a 370mm deck thickness for the bridge which by engineering standard is more than enough to support the weight of fully loaded heavy duty trucks all at once", he said.
Speaking, the Project Manager, Craneburg Construction, Engr. Amin Tawk expressed confidence in the projects, saying “the Epe (Mujoda) Ijebu-Ode Road measuring 14km would be ready in 2022”.
In the same vein, Company Director, Central South Construction Company (CSCC), Mr. Shin Bing expressed optimism over the completion of Panseke-Adigbe road, adding that the project which measures 3km is now at 79 percent completion.
“The road is almost ready and we hope it will be fully opened before the end of this year”, he added.
