GOVERNOR’S EFFORT ON SECURITY HAS MADE OGUN MOST PEACEFUL STATE - CP

 


          Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole has commended the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his efforts at ensuring adequate and effective security of lives and property across the State.


          The Commissioner gave the commendation during a familiarization visit to Ilaro Area Command in Yewa-South Local Government, pointing out that the Governor's assistance has gone a long way in helping the force, towards effective policing.


          "Sincerely, Prince Dapo Abiodun’s assistance to the Police has really helped in effective and adequate policing. Mr. Governor's good effort has also helped the State to remain the most peaceful in the country and Yewa-South Local Government remains the most peaceful in the State", he affirmed.


          Bankole who said that his visit to the Area Command was to strengthen the relationship between the Police and communities in the area, appealed to well-meaning individuals and groups to assist the police in the area of logistics, stating that government alone could not do it all.


          He implored the people not to put laws into their hands whenever there is grievance, instead, they should report to the police, assuring them that such matters of disagreement would be effectively addressed.


          While warning criminals in the area to have a rethink and desist immediately from their evil acts, the Commissioner assured that anyone who constitutes threat to the existing peace within the command would be dealt with, in accordance with the law, promising citizens across the State of effective and qualitative security of lives and property.


          Earlier in his welcome address, the Area Commander in charge of Ilaro, ACP. Chris Adeyeri appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the visit, pointing out that the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle has always been of assistance to the Police, especially in the area of repair of some patrol vehicles.



          On his part, the Chairman of the Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC), Chief Safar Popoola, commended the Commissioner for maintaining peace in the State, promising that the communities across the Command through the PCRC would not relent in its effort at giving necessary support to the area command.
