The authorities of Ikenne Local Government, Ogun State, has sought the support of the Animal Care Services Konsult Limited, in the fulfillment of Corporate Social Responsibility to the council and its host community.

The Executive Chairman of the local government, Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, made the request during a courtesy visit to the company's  corporate headquarters at Ogere Remo, on Thursday.

The visit according to the  Chairman, was to establish a formidable working relationship and create the needed synergy between the organisation and Ikenne Local Government; a relationship he described as one that can be nurtured and sustained on a mutually-beneficial level.

"You will agree with me that Government alone cannot meet the expectations of our people, the more reason we need to partner with individuals, Non-Governmental Organisations, and Organised Private Sector, like yours", said the Chairman.

The Chairman therefore sought the company's CSR's intervention in the following areas:

1. Development Support Fund - this will assist the local government in meeting its day-to-day financial commitments, and in the execution of people-oriented projects.

2. Supply of Drugs and Medical Equipments to Primary Health Centres.

3. Resuscitation of the local government poultry, through donation of Point-of-Lay Birds, layers feeds, and medications.

Hon. OGUNLEYE acknowledged the immense role played  by the Animal Care Services Konsult Limited, in tackling unemployment through the provision of jobs to the teeming youths, who had their livelihood through the company.

He then expressed his deepest condolence to the AGBATO family and the Animal Care Group, on the glorious transition of their patriarch, founder and President, the late Sir Dr. Olatunde Aiyedun AGBATO.

The Chairman prayed that his pleasant soul rest in the Lord's bosom, and that the good Lord continue to grant his immediate family, and all those left behind, the fortitude to bear his departure.

Responding, the Chief Executive Officer, Animal Care Services Konsult Limited, Dame Olufunmilayo AGBATO, thanked the Chairman, and said she felt highly honoured for the visit.

The company, in her words, takes delight in impacting on the community, as laid down by the founding President, the late Dr. Olatunde AGBATO, who had put in place, an enduring culture and structure, that has outlived him.

She assured of a continuous robust partnership with the local government, and promised to consider the requests forwarded to the company.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Head, Human Resource and Administration of the group, Mr. Olanipekun SALIU, on behalf of the company's management, also appreciated the Chairman on the courtesy visit, which he described as a great privilege.

On the Chairman's entourage were the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs.) Bolanle FAKOYA; and  members of the council management, led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Engr. (Mrs.) Olanike OGUNBONA, FNSE.
