The Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has charged the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) officers to be ethical and civil in the discharge of their duties.
Dr. Aigoro gave the advice in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, when he received the TRACE management team, led by its Corps Commander and Chief Executive Officer, Commander Olaseni Ogunyemi.
The Head of Service urged the traffic management officers to be more proactive, committed and efficient, saying more training sessions would be organised for the officers to enhance their productivity.
"I will present your requests to the Governor for the provision of necessary facilities in repositioning TRACE, as the only agency of government saddled with the responsibility of traffic management within the State", Dr. Aigoro said.
In his remarks, Commander Ogunyemi assured the Head of Service that his agency would intensify effort in educating, counselling and sensitising motorists, especially commercial drivers on the State’s traffic laws, towards reducing crashes on the road, eulogising the resilient of Dr. Aigoro and prayed for a successful tenure.
Others in attendance are the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, Alhaji Olanrewaju Saka, Directors of Welfare Matters and Administration and Supplies, Bureau of Service Matters, Alhaji Abubakar Adeduntan and Mr. Oladipo Olajide respectively.
