As part of his efforts to recognize and reward excellence in the teaching profession, a member of Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ijebu North East Local Government, Ogun State, Hon. Fasuwa Johnson, popularly known as Yomi FAJ has rewarded teachers in the local government with cash.
Yomi FAJ also celebrated the retired primary school Teachers where he gave out gifts to them.
The cash and the gifts were given out to the teachers during the Nigeria Union Of Teachers, NUT annual Central send forth ceremony in the local.
Yomi FAJ in his speech submitted that he has decided to celebrate teachers because of their importance
According to him, the annual event will motivate teachers to do more.
He described Teachers as holders of lamp” who illuminate the society and commended teachers for their role in shaping the future leaders.
Fasuwa assured that the current administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun would continue to prioritize welfare of teachers
The best teacher went to Mrs Okunubi Aderemi of Holy Trinity Catholic School, Imomo., while Mr Olukoya Oluwole of Bethlehem African pry school. Odopotu and Jolaoso Gbolahan Olusola of Imowo United pry. Sch. Imowo came second and third respectively.
Mrs Obagwu Mary of Army children school, Ilese., Mr Salami Adeniyi of Irewon Community pry school, Irewon., Mr Tanimowo M. A. Of Holy Apostle pry. School, Atan, Mrs Odunaiya A. B. Of Baptist pry school, Ogbogbo, Mrs Ayoola F Y of St. Peter Anglican school, Oke-Aye, Mrs Salami O O of United Anglican pry school Iworo, and Mrs Anthony Victoria of Community pry school, lmewuro conclude the list of awardees
Also awarded is Mrs Salami O.O of United Primary School, Iworo that has the best performance in the interview conducted in Ijebu Ode centre for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 promotion
This is in fulfilment of this present administration agenda of building our future together.
