Resolve Issues Amicably In Line with CSR- HoS Urges

 


Administrative Officers in the Civil Service of Ogun State have been urged to resolve issues amicably in line with the Civil Service Rules and base their decisions on improving the system to move the State forward.


The Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, who stated this in his office at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, during a courtesy visit by the group, advised them not to misinterprete the laws, but ensure discipline and decorum in the Civil Service.


According to him, the support of administrative officers as the bedrock of the system was needed to achieve success, saying that, they should do their parts to make the difference.


" You are the custodians of all the laws, circulars, Civil Service Rules and Discipline to ensure the smooth running of the service. Where there are issues, they must be resolved amicably in line with the Civil Service Rules. There should be no misinterpretation of laws, but base judgements and decisions on the mind to improve the system and not for personal benefits, in order to move the State forward" he said. 


Speaking earlier, the leader of the group, Mr. Adesoji Adewuyi, congratulated Dr. Aigoro on his appointment as the new Head of Service, pledging their unflinching co-operation and support to have a successful tenure of office.


In a related development, the Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has charged workers in the State to improve themselves by acquiring more knowledge to be better in whatever they do.


Dr. Aigoro who gave the charge in his office when the Nigerian Ophthalmic Nurses Association led by Mrs. Mojisola Bankole and Pharmacists from the Hospitals Management Board and the Ministry of Health led by Samuel Adenaiya came to visit him, said that the present administration led by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun is continuing with training and re- training of its workforce, and ready to boost their morale.


He urged them to be deligent, put in their best and co-operate with their leaders to achieve success in whatever they do.


In their responses, Mrs. Bankole and Mr. Adenaiya who presented their demands, promised to work together with the number one Civil Servant for the progress of Ogun State.


Also, the Head of Service received in his office, the Muslim Community from the State Hospital, Ijaye, who came to wish him well and pray for his success.


Dr. Aigoro asked them to continue to be role models for good service delivery, and co-operate with the leadership of the hospital and Hospitals Management Board to improve on health services to the citizenry.
