PUT TO GOOD USE FACILITIES IN YOUR CARE, HoS CHARGES

The Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, has called on health workers, particularly those working at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu to be diligent in the discharge of their duties, and ensure that all equipment, as well as infrastructural facilities were put to good use for the betterment of all.

Dr. Aigoro made the call in Abeokuta, while playing host to the management team of OOUTH, who paid him a courtesy visit, promised to continue to work together with them, saying the present administration was working towards putting a decrease to the medical tourism being witnessed in the health sector.

Speaking earlier, the Acting Chief Medical Director, OOUTH, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwabunmi Fatungase, while congratulating the new Head of Service on his appointment, pledged the support of the sector, soliciting for more assistance in turning around the fortunes of the hospital.

Similarly, the Head of Service charged the members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ogun State Branch to be dedicated to their duties.

Dr. Aigoro who gave the charge in his office, while receiving the executive members of NULGE, led by its President, Comrade Ayuba Olatunji, urged the Union to join hands with the State government to improve its revenue generation, assuring that all agitations tabled before him were being looked into by concerned authorities.

Speaking earlier, Comrade Olatunji applauded the Head of Service on his appointment, calling on him to look into the challenges facing the workers, with a plea for immediate attention.

In another development, the Head of Service has again called for continued prayers to make him succeed in his new assignment and for the upliftment of the Civil Service.

Dr. Nafiu Aigoro said this when the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam paid him a courtesy visit, saying he could not have made it thus far in his career but for their prayers and support.

Earlier in his speech, the National Legal Adviser, Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, Hon. Tajudeen Agoro said the emergence of Dr. Aigoro as the Head of Service wasn't surprising, saying the Movement would continue to pray and support him.
