Hon. Babatunde Okunola, popularly known as Tomo has pledged his readiness to empower 224 people from Ado-Odo Ota local government area of Ogun state.
The beneficiaries which comprises of youths and the aged are drawn from the 116 wards.
He disclosed this to journalists today in Ota, Ogun state.
Okunola explained that, the empowerment programme is aimed at alleviating poverty in the society.
He said, "I will be distributing working tools to artisans while equipment like grinding machines, freezers among others would be distributed to women.
Okunola further explained that, he will be giving grants to youths and women to support their small scale businesses.
"I' m ready to empower 224 people, from Ado-Odo Ota local government area of Ogun state.
"Sixteen people will be selected from each ward in Ado-Odo Ota. The idea behind the empowerment is to free my people from hunger and to also support their small businesses.....
