The Hon. Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs in Ogun State, Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo, and the Lagos State Surveyor-General, Surv. Tomilola Sangowanwa received distinguished Sons of Porogun Awards as part of the activities marking this year's Adult Harvest Festival and 127 years celebration of the establishment of Christ Church Porogun, Italapo in Ijebu Ode.
The duo were recognized for their outstanding contributions to God's work, community development, and humanitarian aid.
Speaking at the event, Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo, expressed gratitude to the church for recognizing him as deserving of the award, and urged the congregation to continue to pray for the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and the people in government for grace to carry on with the good work of uplifting the state.
He added that the current administration genuinely cares about the welfare of the people of the State, assuring that the current government would leave the State better than they met it.
