The death of the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, Soji Amosu, has been described by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile, as a huge loss to the Union.
Odusile, who expressed shock over the demise of the late Chairman, disclosed this in Abeokuta, saying that he had known the late Amosu for two decades, describing him as a promoter of peace and man of integrity.
“I spoke with the him a week to his death and was sounding okay, only to receive the news of his death. It is my prayer that God will grant him eternal rest and his family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, the Commissioner said.
Until his death, late Amosu was a staffer of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), an indigene of Oke-Ore, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, graduate of Mass Communication at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and the Chairman, Ogun NUJ from 2019 till date.
Amosu who was born on June 22, 1968, died on Sunday, November 14, 2021, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife and children.
