A popular pastor in Ogun State, Rev. Dr. Olayiwola Sam Mercy who is  the general overseer of Divine Universal churches of Christ, Int' l Itedo Ayo Oke Berger Idi Mango, Oke Ata, Abeokuta, has said that Nigeria has failed on political leadership.

He said that the country is  rich cultures religion and resources.

The pastor disclosed this in statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta.

The statement reads ''Let get it right this time because if we miss it in 2023 that's the end of our democracy if not the end of  Nigeria. This country is one of the best in the world if we talk about resources.

"We have rich cultures and religions but on political leadership we have failed.

Our political structure is bad and worst.

They  corrupt all powerful institutions so that they will not fight them. 

"They are using two years to fight each other and the rest two years to settle the rift and share the resources amongst themselves.What a wicked leaders? 

"Nigerians are not wicked,  corrupts and not lazy but our bad leaders pushed us to the wall therefore we started damaging our house.

"They blinded the eyes of the professors, they can't locate their library.

They shut mouth of the religious leaders with their tithes and sakat.

"They collected staff of authority from our traditional rulers and gave them gun to kill their people.

"They bastardized our educational system and health system to bring us to our knees.

"They withdrew our security and sold us to strangers. They destroyed our economy so that they can sell us through loan, No place is secured in this country.

"We are living like chained slave.

Who will fix this country for us.

Our country is a dry bone and will needed to be renewed.

"This country is a dry bones in the valley like Israel of Ezekiel day. But through the help of the Lord, dry bones was renewed and live again ( Ezek 37.), Where is our Ezekiel? Where is Ezek of our time?

"This country is dead already who will restore it back to his glory.

What a glorious country with Rich resources, economy, religion, culture, education with good hope.

No place is secured in this country.

We are living like chained slave.

Who will fix this country for us.
