Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has issued a Premier League title warning to Liverpool following the Reds’ 4-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday.
Neville feels it will be a ‘real problem and difficult’ for Liverpool to compete with Chelsea and Manchester City for the Premier League title despite thrashing Mikel Arteta’s side over the weekend.
According to him, if Jurgen Klopp’s side lost some of their key players from the starting XI, then they could fall behind Chelsea and Man City in the title race.
Chelsea presently tops the Premier League table with three points ahead of second-place Man City and four points ahead of third-place Liverpool after 12 games.
“I think it is most difficult for Liverpool because they are so finely tuned. I think the other two [Chelsea and Manchester CIty] have bigger squads and better squads,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“Liverpool, as I said earlier in the season, the best XI, that does not change, but if two or three go missing, then it does cause a real problem.
“What Liverpool will want is to be within a point or two, with four, five or six games to go.
“With that history and that tradition and Jurgen Klopp’s energy, I think then they’ll become really dangerous.
“But I think to get there will be a bigger struggle for them than it would be for Chelsea and [Manchester] City.”
