The Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has pleaded for the continued cooperation and support of all Local Government workers in the State for the State's upward movement, as a tree can never make a forest.
Dr. Aigoro made the plea today in his office at Oke-mosan, Abeokuta, while playing host to the Body of Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) who came on a courtesy visit to the Office of the Head of Service.
According to him, to ensure that Ogun State Civil Service is always at its best, all the workers must sit up and continue to put in their utmost best to take the State to its optimal level.
"We need all of us to ensure that we maintain the Civil Service to take it to its optimal level. Join hands with the present administration so that the dividends of democracy can be felt by all the citizens of the State" , the Head of Service said.
Speaking earlier, the President of the Body of HOLGA, Mr. Olalekan Oderinde said the purpose of the visit was to felicitate the 18th Head of Service and to pledge the unalloyed loyalty and support of all the Local Government workers, as they look forward to receiving a favourable response to all their welfare and on the job yearnings.
In the same vein, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has solicited for the prayers and support of religious bodies for him to succeed in his new assignment.
Dr. Aigoro made the call when he received members of the Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation as well as the Nasrul-lahi-l-fath Society (NASFAT), Abeokuta Branch on a courtesy visit to his office in Abeokuta.
According to him, their support both spiritually and morally will go a long way in making the mantra of the present administration a reality and requested for unflinching support for his office and the State at large.
In their separate responses, the Ogun State Coordinator of Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation, Alhaji Abdulrahman Anifowose and the Branch Chairman, NASFAT, Alhaji Taofeek Olabode said they came on the visit to rejoice with the Head of Service, being one of their own in the same religious body, on his appointment, as it wasn't hard work, dedication and commitment to duty alone that brought him to the exalted position but divine endorsement did.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of gifts and offering of prayers for the Head of Service, the office and the State.
