Councilor representing ward 8, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Adebari Adesukanmi Adekunle has expressed  sadness over news of the fire incident at Lanfenwa market that claimed two lives and destroyed many properties.

He also commiserated with the families of the victims of the incident.

The councilor described the incident as unfortunate and heartbreaking.

Adebari said “I condole with the market men and women who lost their valuables to the fire incident and I also condole with the family of those who lost their lives.

"It saddens my heart to see this unfortunate incident, please take heart as the government take measures to forestall such occurrences.”

"Let me assure market leaders, market men and women, especially those affected by the  fire incident to be rest assured that the government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun will not abandon them to their fate at this time.
