To Mark this year Breast Cancer Awareness month, Ogun State First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun has flag off free Breast and cervical Cancer Screening at the State General Hospital Ijebu Ode.
The program which was Organized by the office of first lady and Ajose foundation in Collaboration with medical women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Ogun chapter.
Speaking at the Event, Mrs Abiodun charge the women to be vigilant and Careful saying cancer disease is a killer disease common among the women throughout the world.
" As we know that breast and cervical cancer is common among the women, I Implore you to always go for medical check up at our various hospital. Our women must be very vigilant, check their breast themselves and if found any changes, either in sizes or notice any form of discharge from their breast should contact the nearest hospital" she said.
Mrs Bamidele reteirated the commitment of Government and doggedness towards Eradicating breast Cancer in Ogun state.
Also Speaking, Ijebu Ode Local Government Council chairman, Babatunde Emilola Gazal Appreciate the First Lady for the Awareness Program on Breast Cancer.
The Council Boss admonish the women to take serious the Campaign and urge them to seek medical attention whenever they observe any form of thickness in their breast.
He then thanked Prince Dapo Abiodun led Administration for making Ijebu Ode Local Government a beneficiary of the program.
Dignitaries present at the Event are Mrs Funmilayo Efuwape, Commissioner for Women affairs, Dr Tayo Lawal, SA on Health and others.
