The Ogun State Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has appealed to philanthropists to donate to correctional homes across the State, in order to boost the vocational skills of subjects and enable them contribute to the development of the society.
Justice Dipeolu accompanied by the management staff made the appeal during her visit to the Nigerian Correctional Service, Boarstal Institute, Adigbe, Abeokuta, as part of activities marking the 2021/2022 New Legal Year, noting that the subjects needed to acquire some vocational skills to make them self-reliance in future.
The Chief Judge who granted amnesty to one subject, advised others to be focused and face their various vocations, calling on parents to train their children and inculcate moral values in them, in order to be useful for themselves and the society at large.
In her response, the Deputy Controller of the Center, Mrs. Oluremi Ogunseinde said the age range of children in their custody is between 16-20 years, pointing out that many of them had performed well in their academics and admitted into various universities.
