The Ogun State Government has sympathised with the victims of the recent fire outbreak at Makun area in Sagamu.
The Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo while inspecting the affected shops, described the incident as unfortunate, promising government's assistance for the victims.
Abiodun who assessed the extent of damage caused by the inferno, urged members of the public to ensure that appliances are switched off when not in use to prevent power surge.
Responding on behalf of other victims, Mrs. Rukayat Taiwo appreciated the Governor for his concern and prompt response to the scene of the incident.
Other members of the assessment team were a member of the House of Assembly, Sagamu 11 Constituency, Hon. Adeniran Adeyinka, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dr. Rotimi Akinlesi, Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Hon Adewale Aka, Directors of State Fire Service and State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Engr. Fatai Adefala and Mr. Fola Ige respectively.
