Members of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) Ogun State have been charged to continue to use their expertise to promote quality service delivery in the building sector.
Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi gave the charge in Abeokuta while receiving members of the Society, noting that part of government efforts at improving quality service delivery is the regular training and retraining of professionals in the construction industry.
Omoniyi said the Society through its members in the Ministry has been supportive in the construction of the ongoing massive affordable housing by the government, urging them to feel free to provide more professional advice that would take the State to the next level.
Contributing, the Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry, ESV. Olalekan Lukan, appreciated members of the Society for the effective utilisation of materials during construction of first and second phase of Kobape Affordable Housing Estate.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman, NSE, Engr. Adisa Olonade noted that thirty-three flash points were identified in the area of flood control and had proffered solutions to the government for consideration, appreciating the present administration for its support towards the betterment of the Society.
