The vice chairman, Yewa North Local Government, Hon Olubukola Omoyayi has called on residents of council to intensify prayers for the peace and unity of the people of the state and nation in general
Omoyayi made the call at a Thanksgiving service organized by Omoyayi Foundation for the victory recorded during the last local government election, held at Saint Paul Anglican Parish Church, Ayetoro
The vice chairman,said that peaceful coexistence among various ethnic people would strengthen national growth, urging citizens to be patriotic at all times and ensure that they pray for their leaders to sustain political stability
She appreciated the residents for voting for them in the last council election, assuring that the divided of democracy would be spread to nooks and cranky of the local government area
In his remarks, her boss,Hon Gabriel Ogunyomi thanked Omoyayi for the support being enjoy from the vice before, during and after the last election, calling on residents not to relent in their prayers for the government
The Diocesan Bishop, Anglican Parish Church, Yewa Diocese, Venerable Sunday Wusa pray for all local government political functionaries, the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and President Muhammad Buhari, admonished Nigerians to continue to pray for the well being of the nation
