The Chairman, Yewa North Local Government (YNLG), Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi has assured residents of the Area of more developmental and people-oriented projects that will impact positively on the people.
Ogunyomi said this at Saint Paul Anglican Parish Church, Ayetoro during a Thanksgiving Service organised by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Omoyayi Foundation, over the victory recorded during the last local government election.
He lauded the foundation for its support during and after the last election, calling on residents not to relent in their prayers for the government.
In her remarks, the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Olubukola Omoyayi noted that peaceful coexistence among various ethnic groups would strengthen national growth, urging citizens to be patriotic at all times and ensure that they pray for their leaders to sustain political stability.
She appreciated the residents for voting for them in the last council election, assuring that the dividends of democracy would be spread to all nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area.
The Archdeacon ,Yewa North West Archdeaconry Headquarter, Anglican Parish Church, Yewa Diocese, Venerable Sunday Wusa, prayed for President Muhammad Buhari, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and all Local Government Political functionaries for wisdom to steer the ship of the Local Government, State and the country at large, admonishing Nigerians to continue to pray for the wellbeing of the nation.
