ABIODUN PARTNERS IT GURU ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Software Business Solutions Consulting Limited (SBSC), an Information Technology company has partnered with Odu'a Investment Company Limited (OICL) to establish SBSC's-OLAB, at TechHub office in Abeokuta Ogun State capital.


Speaking at the official opening of the office, held at TechHub, Kobape Road, Abeokuta, Governor Dapo Abiodun expressed his appreciation for the laudable feat, noting that Information Technology ( IT) equipment put in place by SBSC shows their readiness to economically develop the State.


He also expressed his satisfaction with the facilities on ground, expressing his interest in supporting the SBSC and Odu'a towards providing  IT solutions in the state.


"With what am seeing on ground here, I believe it's not going to be just a training centre for software engineers, rather for the state to become a tech solutions provider to other States of the federation"


In his welcome address, The Special Adviser to the governor on Information Communication Technology (ICT), Mr. Dayo Abiodun said the State has rapidly developed in the IT space which has made it possible for public-private partnerships, culminating in SBSC  establishing its branch in Abeokuta. 


He stated that the State is always ready to accommodate more private sector interested in partnering with the State, which would also help it develop its economy.


The Managing Director, Software Business Solutions Consulting (SBSC), Dr. Abdul Balogun appreciated Abiodun's administration for the support, assuring the government that his company would  proffer tech solutions for human and economic growth of the State.


Dr. Balogun emphasized that SBSC would train software engineers, empower women and create technological solutions to the State government to aid seamless governance, as well as generating employment opportunities for the teeming youths.


"We have a vision to train software engineers, Business analysts, UI/UX designers, Front-end and Back-end developers, Quality Assurance Testers through our incubation programme.


"We will also create employment for over 150 IT engineers and hope to turn Ogun state to a global IT hun, thereby boosting it's economy", Balogun said


Earlier, the group General Manager, Odu'a Investment Company Limited (OICL), Mr. Adewale Raji commended SBSC for bringing such initiatives to the state, saying OICL would be supportive to ensure youths are empowered to be digitally productive and thereby improve the State economy at large.
