A University lecturer in the department of political science, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Usman Magaji on Wednesday hailed President Muhammed Buhari for sacking two of his cabinet ministers.
Recall that, President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, announced the sacking of the Ministers of Agriculture, Mohammed Sabo Nanono and Minister of Power, Maman Saleh on Wednesday.
Professor Magaji, while reacting to the sack, told, DAILY POST in Kaduna that if President Buhari had put a check on his cabinet before now, many non-performing ministers would have been sacked, or forced to improve on their performance.
According to him, the sack of the two ministers will definitely encourage, or force others to put in their best, henceforth.
“This is what we all expected of the president. He should put a check on his ministers to ensure that, they put in their best. Those who are not ready to work should also be shown the way out.”

“The president should also look into the performance of all heads of military, and Paramilitary to ensure that, insecurity witnessed in various parts of the country, becomes a thing of the past.
