OGSG SEEKS STAKEHOLDERS’ SUPPORT ON PROPOSED PLANNING LAW

 


The Ogun State Government has called on stakeholders in the built sector to join hands with the government for successful implementation of the proposed law on administration of physical planning, urban development, slum regeneration and building production management.


The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, TPL Tunji Odunlami made the call at a stakeholders’ meeting at the State House of Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying a lot of effort had been made before it was passed for legislation.


TPL. Odunlami stated that professionals and stakeholders in the sector were involved in the validation of the proposed law, appreciating their support and promised to ensure orderliness in the physical development of the State.


In his submission, the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo assured that the bill would be given accelerated passage for proper administration of physical and urban development, commending the effort of the Ministry at improving the socio-economic advancement of the State.


In his remark, the Chairman, House Committee on Lands and Housing, Hon. Damilola Shoneye said passage of the proposed bill would give the State a face lift in fulfilment of the infrastructural agenda of the present administration.
