LG BOSS COMMENDS GOV. ABIODUN'S STRIDE ON QUALITATIVE HEALTHCARE DELIVERY

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been commended for his efforts at ensuring that citizens of the state have access to affordable and qualitative healthcare across the state.


The Executive Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, Hon. Lateef Salami gave the commendation during the flag off of the year 2021 insecticide treated nets distribution campaign held at the council's primary health centre situated along Leslie road in Ilaro.


Hon. Salami who posited that renovation and upgrading of the state hospital, Ilaro by the Gov. Dapo Abiodun led administration was a testimony that the state government is committed to the well-being of the citizens via the provision of qualitative healthcare that is accessible to every citizens of the state.

According to him, "the Governor of our dear state, Prince Dapo Abiodun is a caring Governor who is committed to the well-being of the citizens of the state through the provision of necessary infrastructures especially affordable and qualitative healthcare. The upgrading and renovation of the state hospital here in Ilaro is a testimony to the commitment of our dear Governor towards providing efficient, qualitative and affordable healthcare for the people living across the state".


Flagging off the insecticide treated nets distribution campaign, the Local Government Chairman said, "the programme this time around shall be household to household distribution; that it, our teams shall bring the nets to your doorstep in your homes. This is to curb the spread of corona virus which will not allow large crowd or large number of people coming together to collect the net at our designated various facilities.

"I therefore implore our people to give the teams the necessary and needed cooperation when they get to your homes and follow all the instructions they give you on the proper ways to handle the nets". 


The event witnessed the decoration of the first lady of the Local Government, Alhaja Oluwabunmi Salami as the "net advocate" of the council by the Malaria Focal Person for the local government, Mrs Adeniyi Agnes who after her decoration urged people of the area to make themselves available during the registration and distribution of the insecticide treated mosquito nets.


She implored citizens of the council to at all times adhere strictly to all rules guiding against the spread of COVID'19 as stipulated by the government.
