The immediate ALGON chairman in Ogun state, Hon. SEMIU Bola Lawal has led his colleagues in the twenty local government of the state to pay a condolence visit to the family of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on the demise of his father, Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun, describing the deceased as a true father who lived a life worthy of emulation.

Lawal, during the condolence visit at the Iperu country home of the Governor in the company of all the immediate local government transition chairmen in the state recalled that the lifetime of the late Pa Abiodun reflected forthrightness and integrity which were to be imbibed by all.

They later signed the condolence register in honour of the deceased and prayed for the entire family he left behind, while encouraging them to further appreciate God for a life well spent by the departed.

Responding, the wife of the Ogun state governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, thanked the immediate past transition chairmen for the visit despite their commitment and tight schedule.

She said: “A unique habit of the late former Educationist, which only those who interacted with him will tell is, he was a very simple and humble man in spite of the various positions he held.

He possessed a very clean and good heart which he showed clearly in his life time thorough various engagements and activities.

“We are mourning today however, we are still happy because it is not easy to reach the age of 89.

“I believe he has done all the works God has asked him to do on earth.”

In his remarks, A younger brother to the late Pa Abiodun, Mr. Kayode Abiodun said the late brother played a key role in his life.

He commended the delegation for the condolence visit.

Other former chairmen who were in attendance also extolled the virtues of the departed.

The immediate Chairman, Ikenne LGA, Rotimi Akinsanya who extended the condolences of the Ikenne people to the family, explained why late Dr Abiodun would forever be remembered in the area.
