AKARIGBO CHARGES YOUTHS ON DEVELOPMENT OF REMOLAND
Due to increasing level of crimes such as terrorism, kidnapping, robbery, cultists' killing, terror herdsmen and others, Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, urged youths to join hands with traditional rulers in Remoland towards peaceful existence and development of the land.
The Akarigbo made the call during an interacting session with all arms of the youth in his domain, held at Akarigbo palace hall, Ita-oba, Sagamu, where youths drawn from all the towns in Remoland converged and had opportunity to express their minds on burning issues.
Oba Babatunde stated that the interactive session was convened to brainstorm on how to move Remoland forward, as the youths had a role to play in the collective advancement of the land, condemning some youths' involvement in cultism and other social vices which he described as inimical to a healthy society.
The monarch thanked the youth for the respect and honour accorded his stool and support for him whenever situation demands, expressing optimism and confidence that the whole traditional rulers in the different towns in the kingdom were ready to work with them for the betterment of the land.
On his part, Chairman and founder of Adron Homes and properties, King-Emmanuel Adetola advised the youth to be disciplined and lead an upright life and to also support various security groups to achieve their goals, saying, nothing positive could be achieved through violence except through due process
The President, Sagamu Youth Association, Comrade Sikiru Olusegun said the interactive session had created opportunities for youths to express their feelings, promising to tackle divers challenges at the grassroots and to do anything possible to make a positive impact to Sagamu and Remoland at large.
