OGSG TO FLAG-OFF DIGITAL ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROJECT
The Bureau of Information Technology in Ogun State, in conjunction with 21st Century Technologies Limited is launching the Ogun State Digital Economic Empowerment Project (OGDEP) on Thursday, 15 April, 2021 at the Ogun Tech-Hub, beside President Muhammadu Buhari Estate, Kobape road, Abeokuta beginning at 11 a.m.
In a release signed by the Director, Information Technology in the Bureau, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunle, indicated that important dignitaries including the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Ministers, Stakeholders, Royal Fathers among others are expected to grace the occasion.
The release added that OGDEP is the culmination of the ICT policy objectives of the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration to ensure the digitisation of government activities, to create digital inclusion, provide tools and education to help empower the youth and business owners across the State.
OGDEP, according to the release also aligns with, and supports, the Federal Government’s Nigerian Digital Economic Policy and goals contained in the Federal Government’s Broadband Policy, in respect of increasing broadband penetration, particularly to unconnected and undeserved areas.
