The Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Funmi Efuwape identified and celebrated with the children at Stella Obasanjo Children Home, Ibara, Juvenile Correctional Center, Asero, and Orphanages Homes scattered all over Ogun state.

Efuwape at the children party held at Juvenile Correctional Center, Asero said that the celebration was special as it afforded her the privilege to mix with these children and make them feel loved and wanted.

She said that the present administration has done a lot in improving the well being of  the less privileged children in the area of timely release of maintenance allowance of children of Stella Obasanjo Children's Home and Juvenile Correctional Center, training and retraining of critical stakeholders to ensure the protection of children's rights, swearing -in of Family Court Assessors to ensure unhindered Juvenile justice administration among others.

While welcoming the children to the party, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi said that Stalls Obasanjo Children Home has been a safe haven for abandoned and other children in need of care and protection, adding that the home has in no small measure  provide corrective services to deviants and children in conflict with the law and by extension, reduced the rate of crime in the society.
