SUPPORT FELLOW WOMEN TO AVOID BEEN MARGINALIZED - EFUWAPE

Women in Ogun State have been  advised to support fellow women in order to reach a greater height and avoid been marginalized by their male counterparts  in political positioning.

The Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Funmi Efuwape gave this charge while playing host to the Alliance Eminent Women Group, who came on a courtesy call to her office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Efuwape said that gone were the days when only gossip used to bind women together, saying that women should not center on personal interest, rather they should represent the interest of women folks generally in order to reach their desired goal.

She encouraged them to develop  the habit of loyalty to their leaders  in order to be trusted, adding that loyalty of followers would boost the morale of the leader at a time when weariness and pressure set in.

The Hon Commissioner seized the  opportunity to appreciate the governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun (mfr) for giving the women the privilege to showcase their wealth of experience and capacity in the affairs of the state.

Responding, the Vice President of the group, Yeye  Awoyemi appreciated the  Hon. Commissioner for her advise and the good work done for the women, promising that their group would not relent in giving support to the state government on matters that concern the women of the state.
